Learning Outcomes
At the end of this presentation you should be able to: ● Understand structural detailing of high level windows and how to avoid visible lintels whilst achieving eave overhangs and blind pelmets. ● Be able to communicate design intent to the consulting engineer to ensure their resulting design achieves the architectural design intent. ● Be able to to use our solution sheets to aid in briefing your engineer.

Relevant CPD
This presentation is equivalent to 1.5 total hours (1.5 points of formal CPD) and will deliver outcomes related to the following Competencies from the National Standard of Competency for Architects: DETAILED DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTATION ● PC37 - Be able to produce timely, accurate, complete and comprehensible documentation of the design so that it can be constructed. ● PC39 - Be able to integrate the material selection, structural and construction systems established in the conceptual design into the detailed design and documentation. ● PC40 - Be able to resolve and present a coherent detailed design solution within necessary timeframes to obtain client and stakeholder approvals. ● PC41 - Be able to coordinate and integrate input from specialists and consultants into the detailed design and documentation. ● PC44 - Maintain effective and clear communication in the coordination of relevant consultants, manufacturers and suppliers as required under the terms of engagement.
